"Come and Try" Programme
If you think Pony Club looks like a lot of fun but were not sure if it
is for you, well now is your chance to find out. Arcadia Pony Club has
introduced a “Come and try” programme for riders between 4 – 25yrs with
their own horses or ponies where you can come along to a Rally Day gain
some riding instruction, meet some new friends and have a lot of fun!
“We feel very fortunate at Arcadia Pony Club to have so much to offer our members and we are keen to share it further via the “Come and Try” programme” says Tony Fox, President of Arcadia Pony Club.
“We have a strong membership which means every child or teenager has a peer group of friends and other riders of the same ability. We also have the largest group of qualified NCAS Pony Club instructors in NSW as well as a pool of local equestrian professionals to supplement our NCAS instructors. This gives the members quality instruction in dressage, horsemanship, showjumping, cross country jumping, polocrosse, sporting and mounted games each rally day”, said Leanne Davies, Senior Instructor.
“The grounds at the Rural Sports Facility provided by Hornsby Council are also a big draw card for Arcadia. Having each of the arenas fenced and the near perfect surfaces to ride on for rally days and to hold competitions on has given us so much positive feedback as well as new members in the past 3 years”, says Tony.
“The strength of Arcadia Pony Club in the community over the past 32 years is demonstrated by the continuous investment by previous committees, members and local families in quality equipment and infrastructure. Each committee and membership since its inception in 1970 has improved the club further. The current committee and membership are now the custodians of one very special club and have much to thank our community for.”
If you would like to come and experience all that is on offer at Arcadia Pony Club, complete the form and come along. If you decide you want to join after your one free trial day we are offering half yearly memberships for the balance of 2014 at a pro-rata rate.
